The Nutcracker by Candlelight: Tchaikovsky’s Piano Ballet Magic for Family & Lovers

Experience the festive magic of Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker 4-Hand Piano Suite, alongside enchanting solo piano excerpts from Prokofiev’s Romeo & Juliet and Prokofiev’s The Prodigal Son.
Set within a stunning Grade II listed church in the heart of Kensington, the concert offers not only exquisite music but also a uniquely atmospheric setting. The rich, resonant sound of the grand piano will fill the historic space, heightened by the glow of flickering candlelight that fills the entire hall. Surrounded by a sea of candlelight, you will be invited to unwind, savour the moment, and lose yourself in the magic of the music.
Performed by award-winning Royal Ballet pianists Wing Tung Fan (Hong Kong, China) and Haruka Kawaguchi (Japan), this is a magical musical journey by candlelight for families, couples, ballet and classical music fans, and beyond!

Apart from the ballet classics, we are also thrilled to present the world premiere of《Lady Erzulie》, a brand-new piano composition by award-winning musician Stephanie Lai — inspired by the stunning painting 《Lady Erzulie》 by esteemed painter Natalia Lewandowska.
🖼️ Natalia’s original painting was featured in Saatchi Gallery’s acclaimed collection “Genre-bending Artists Shaping England’s Local Art Scene.”
The audience will have the opportunity to see this incomparable painting in person at the concert, along with the rare chance to meet both the artist and the composer!
💫 Erzulie Freda, the spirit of love and beauty in Haitian culture, serves as the heart of both works — each celebrating the depth, grace, and untold stories of women. Lai’s composition mirrors these themes through her lyrical, evocative music, transforming Lewandowska’s powerful brushstrokes into sound.
